Amazon river journeys

A boat carries you deep into the rainforest to a lodge raised among the trees. With a private guide you glide through the flooded forest at dawn, and at night the sounds of the jungle replace every other noise you know.

Iguazu Falls

At Iguazu the water falls in countless cascades, and you see it from the viewpoints where the roar is loudest and the crowds are thinnest. A boat ride beneath the spray finishes the day.

Rio and the coast

In Rio the days belong to the sea and the city: a villa above the beach, a private guide to the old quarters and an evening at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain as the lights come on below.

When to go

The Amazon can be visited all year, with changing water levels. Rio is lovely from April to October, and the falls are impressive in every season.
